Where does money play into your opportunities and priorities? What needs do you feel as though you have regarding your team and your environment? If you can take a look at your values, your interests, and your general personality, you may find that over time, you find a bit of a common theme, and this can be a very good way for you to see how things change over time.
Do your Research
You should find that when you look at yourself and when you identify what needs you feel as though you have, you can then try to become a miniature expert in what you are looking for. You can then try to talk to people to find out what jobs they are doing, and how you can take things to the next level. Attend conferences, seminars, and meet-ups if you feel as though this applies to your field. You can also try to read relevant articles and trade publications, if you feel as though this would benefit you. You can then consider which career would suit you and your values, as well as your skills and interests. It does help to try to bring elements of your former career in here, so instead of trying to choose a different field, choose another role within the sector you work in now. If you work in education but want to go on a more research-based path, it may be that you think about pursuing training. It’s now possible for you to embark on a Master of Education online course to level up your qualifications, so try and consider things like this if you don’t feel as though you have a lot of time to devote to college or university.
