Thrive Global’s Thriving In The New Normal Research Report studies the working trends and states of employees as well as organizations during Covid19. Data from this report was collected from more than 5,000 employees and over 1,000 companies.

Some main findings from the report include:

  • When being surveyed about their current sentiment, a majority of employees claimed that they are 60% or more positive about all aspects of their lives (career, health, loved ones or finances) with “Loved Ones” has the highest positive ranking of over 70%.
  • Most survey respondents admitted that they are more worried about their health and well-being due to the coronavirus outbreak. Regardless of this, a majority of them indicated that they didn’t have sufficient information or knowledge on how to prevention measures.
  • Nearly every respondents felt that their organizations need to implement more than just work-from-home policies or travel bans to effectively deal with concerns about the virus. On the other hand, most of employees hoped they would have known better ways to thrive during these difficult times.
  • More than 90% of people wanted to be updated on COVID weekly and nearly 70% of them expected this to happen daily. Over 80% of them had concerns about the impact of the pandemic on their job and career.
  • Almost every surveyed respondent had concerns about the impact of the outbreak on society, personal health and the health of their loved ones while 80% of them claimed to have more stress and anxiety due to this.
  • The anxiety and stress level of most people increased due to the reaction of others, other effects of the outbreak and information from media and the public about the virus.
  • A majority of people felt helpless about the coronavirus outbreak
  • More than 60% of surveyed respondents claimed that it was challenging for them to discuss the outbreak with their family members while 80% of them had concerns about being able to be in touch or help their loved ones during these times.
