SleepWorking – How Employee Disengagement Is Hurting Your Business – Domo

Domo’s “Sleepworking – How Employee Disengagement Is Hurting Your Business” research report studies how employees are feeling about the technology they are currently using at work and what employers can do to improve employee engagement with the right data and tools. Data from this research was gathered from a survey of more than 3,000 employees in the US, UK, and Australia/New Zealand.

Some main findings from this report are as below:

  • Nearly 60% of respondents claimed that despite the increase in their demand for technology used at work, they haven’t been able to use as much technology as they need over the last five years.
  • Over one-third of employees didn’t think they are well-informed about their organization’s strategy.
  • Half of the surveyed employees expressed their hope for more data so they can better understand the overall strategy of their organizations.
  • More than 60% of the employees stated that being able to use tech that is helpful to their job would make them happier at work.
  • If they can have access to the tech tools they require to do their job, more than two-thirds of the employees claimed that they would plan to work for the organization long term.
  • Less than half of the respondents believed that their employers are implementing new technologies consistently and only a few of them get to use the latest tech as soon as it becomes available.
  • A majority of employees believed that the use of tech tools can benefit organizations when dealing with the economic downturn.
