The myHRfuture’s 2019 HR Skills Of The Future Report explores the skills and knowledge that HR professionals require for future preparation. The report gathered information from professionals across 60 countries.
Some main findings from this report include:
- People Analytics was ranked as the skill that most professionals want to develop, followed by Consulting, Digital HR and Strategic Workforce Planning.
- When asked about their opinions on whether or not they should develop skills or knowledge in some fields to prepare for the future, most surveyed professionals agreed that skills and knowledge on People Analytics, Change Management, Digital HR and Consulting are required. On the other hand, a majority of survey respondents didn’t think that skills on Employer Branding, AI, Agile Working or Design Thinking are the most critical skills they need to acquire to prepare for the future.
- HR professionals spent the most time learning through blogs, articles and social media. 44% of the surveyed professionals claimed to have spent at least 4 to 8 hours a month learning through free online training platforms when nearly half of them admitted that they didn’t spend anytime on formal online training provided by their employers.
