HR Digital Skills Gap Report – AIHR

AIHR’s HR Digital Skills Gap Report explores the gap in HR digital transformation within organisations.

Some main findings from this report include:

  • Nearly 90% of organisations are dealing with skills gap challenges, or will in the next 5 years.
  • The gap in HR transformation has been recognised by more than 20% of organizations. On the other hand, it was reported that 30% of work tasks could be done by machines and computers.
  • There has been a significant increase in employee experience investment to improve retention, productivity and reduce attrition. As a result, organisations with clear visions and missions have lower attrition and much higher headcount growth.
  • There is a lack of HR data skills in more than half of organisations. The need to simplify processes and procedures in organisations were recognised by 40% of HR professionals. The lack of a data-driven mindset in HR was reported in more than 70% of organizations.
  • The top skills for re-skilling include data analysis and mathematical skills. More than 20% of organizations also claimed that their reskilling programs are focusing on digital skills.
  • It is estimated that by 2022, re-skilling and up-skilling will be necessary for more than 50% of HR professionals to fill the gap.
