The O.C. Tanner Institute’s 2022 Global Culture Report explores the possibilities and opportunities for organizations in 2022 to develop employee experience and new workplace culture post Covid-19. Data on this report was gathered from more than 38,000 professionals globally.
Some major discoveries from this report include:
- On average, organizations report an employee engagement score of over 50%, which is a decrease from last year score of higher than 60%
- According to the survey respondents, if they have access to a hybrid work model with flexibility in how and where they work, it’s 40% more likely that they will be engaged at work.
- Career Development Program, Flexibility To Choose The Number Of Days Worked Remotely and Flexible Workspace In The Office are ranked as the most important elements for a sucessful hybrid workplace.
- Think Creatively and Meet Deadline are considered to be easier to manage at home compared to working in the office. On the other hand, Collaborate With Colleagues and Advance Career are among other tasks that are believed to be more effective if being done in the office.
- It is reported that employees are 30% less likely to engage at work, 12% more likely to take more days off if they are struggle to maintain their work-life balance.
- It is evident from the findings that engagement, retention, employee experience and inclusion scores will significantly increase if employees have the opportunities to get to know each other personally at work
- Employee Experience, Engagement, Wellbeing and Feeling of Success among employees will also significantly increase if organizations utilize people/HR technology in their processes
- Organizations report to have higher employee engagement, sense of purpose and feelings of success with they implement ongoing programs and tools for employee recognition
- Ask The Right Question, Go and See, Talk To An Outer Circle, Improve The Mix and Deliver The Differences are identified as the five skills that impact great work in an organization. The combination of these behaviours will result in the increase in organizational growth, revenue growth and innovation, while at the same time reduces layoff rates.
