
The 2019 G2 Crowd Employee Engagement Report uses data from an online survey that polled 400 HR and non-HR respondents from small to large organisations in the United States.
Some key findings from this report include:
- As part of employee engagement programs, 78% of HR professionals have already adopted or plan to adopt employee recognition solutions. However, only 40% of HR employees have provided employee engagement solutions to their organizations.
- While nearly 75% of HR employees have already introduced or are preparing to introduce a number of employee engagement solutions in their organizations, merely 48% of non-HR respondents believe that their employer is investing in their engagement.
- More than half of HR respondents strongly agree that employee engagement initiatives will help their organization retain productive workers, yet only 19% of non-HR people strongly agree with this.
- 83% of HR staff believe HR software systems can enhance employee engagement, while only 30% of non-HR staff think that employee engagement tools will boost or are boosting engagement. Interestingly, 70% of these same non-HR staff also think that offering advanced technology to assist job requirements can improve employee engagement.
- Employee engagement is cited to be a strategic priority by 88% of HR professionals while only 43% of non-HR professionals think the same. As a matter of fact, only 23% of non-HR professionals are certain that they understand these solutions.
- Out of the most common employee engagement solutions, employee recognition seems to be the most implemented solutions with 70% of HR staff reported providing these solutions in their organisations.
